Welcome to the “eTranslater” application (hereinafter referred to as “the App”) and related services. This Agreement is a legally binding contract between you (“the User”) and the App provider (“we” or “us”), governing your download, installation, and use of the App.
Please read all the provisions carefully before use, especially those in bold regarding limitation of liability, disclaimers, and dispute resolution. If you do not agree with any part of this Agreement, please stop downloading, installing, or using the App immediately. Your continued use constitutes full understanding and acceptance of all terms herein and your commitment to comply with applicable laws and regulations.
We reserve the right to modify this Agreement at any time. Updated versions will be published under “Me – Settings – User Agreement” within the App and will take effect upon publication. Continued use after modification constitutes acceptance of the revised terms; if you disagree, you must cease using the App.
App Description
eTranslater is an intelligent translation tool providing the following:
Basic Features: Translation between 10 common languages, 30-second voice translation, simple photo translation, basic travel tools (currency/time/unit conversion), and 5 common scenario dialogues.
Advanced Features: Translation among 100+ languages, iOS 18 offline translation, unlimited simultaneous interpretation, comprehensive dialogue library (hundreds of scenarios), batch image translation, and multi-format export.
Scope of Application
These Terms apply to all users who download the App via Apple App Store and govern all rights and obligations arising from the use of the App.
Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
This Agreement is governed by the laws of the People’s Republic of China (excluding conflict-of-law principles). Any disputes shall first be resolved amicably; if unresolved, either party may file a lawsuit with the competent People’s Court in the defendant’s jurisdiction.
User Eligibility
Only individuals aged 18 or above with full civil capacity may independently use the App.
Users aged 14–18 may use the App only under guardian consent and supervision and are prohibited from using subscription services.
Users under 14 years of age are not permitted to use the App.
Device and Permission Requirements
Download Channel: The App must be downloaded exclusively from the official Apple App Store. Versions from unofficial sources are not covered by this Agreement, and we assume no responsibility for them.
System Requirement: Offline translation is supported only on iOS 18 or later.
Permission Use:
Microphone: Enables voice translation; inactive when not in use. Denial disables voice functions.
Camera: Enables photo translation; activated only when used. Denial disables camera-based translation.
Storage: Required for storing offline data packages. Denial disables offline translation.
Network: Enables online translation; denial limits functionality to offline use only.
Scope of License
We grant you a personal, non-commercial, non-transferable, and non-exclusive limited right to use the App on your device. This includes:
Accessing basic functions;
Using advanced features after subscription (personal use only);
Storing translation records and offline data locally.
Prohibited Conduct
You shall not:
Reverse-engineer, decompile, modify, or create derivative works of the App;
Extract translation corpora, dialogue content, or model parameters without authorization;
Use the App for commercial purposes;
Translate, store, or disseminate illegal or infringing content, or engage in unlawful activities through the App;
Interfere with the normal operation of the App or services.
Violation may result in restriction or termination of your account and forfeiture of fees paid.
Content Responsibility
You are solely responsible for any content generated or transmitted through the App (including text and audio) and must ensure it does not infringe any third-party rights or violate laws. You agree to indemnify us for any losses arising from your content, including legal fees and damages.
Data Management
You are responsible for backing up local translation records and offline data. We are not liable for data loss due to device malfunction or deletion. Uninstalling the App will permanently delete all local data.
5.1 Scope of Third-Party Services
Payment Services: Subscription payments are processed through Apple Pay. We do not store your payment information. Payment issues should be directed to Apple Support.
Data Interfaces: Travel tools rely on third-party data sources for reference only and may not be real-time accurate.
5.2 Liability Allocation
We are not responsible for the quality or stability of third-party services. Any disputes between you and such third parties shall be resolved independently.
Content of Service
Subscription features and duration are as displayed on the App Store. New users may enjoy a free trial period.
Renewal and Billing
Auto-renewal occurs 24 hours before expiration at the then-current price.
To cancel, go to Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions at least 24 hours before expiration.
Refund Policy
Except as required by law, subscriptions are non-refundable once activated.
Canceling during the trial period incurs no charge; after the trial, service ends automatically.
Illegally obtained subscriptions will be revoked without refund.
All intellectual property rights (including code, interface, trademarks, and content) of the App belong to us or the respective right holders.
You may not copy, distribute, imitate, or otherwise exploit any intellectual property of the App without written authorization.
You may use translation results personally but must ensure no infringement of third-party rights.
Service Limitations
Translation results are for reference only, especially for specialized fields that require human verification.
Offline translations may vary due to data package version differences.
Network instability may affect performance of online functions.
Exclusions of Liability
We are not responsible for:
Service interruptions caused by force majeure, system maintenance, or network failures;
Losses arising from your breach of this Agreement or use of unofficial versions;
Indirect losses caused by service suspension due to business adjustments or regulatory requirements;
Any consequences arising from misuse or misinterpretation of translation results.
Limitation of Liability
For direct losses caused by our proven fault, compensation shall not exceed the total subscription fees paid in the past 12 months (or CNY 100 for unpaid users). We shall not be liable for indirect losses.
Guardians shall supervise users aged 14–18 and prevent them from using restricted features.
If a minor uses the App without consent, guardians may request deletion of related data by providing valid proof.
Modification
We may amend this Agreement as necessary and will notify users through in-app announcements. Continued use constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
Termination
You may terminate use at any time.
We may suspend or terminate services in cases of serious breach, legal requirement, business adjustment, or discontinuation (30 days’ notice will be given).
Paid subscriptions remain valid until expiry and will not renew thereafter.

Section headings are for convenience only and do not affect the interpretation of this Agreement.
If any provision is held invalid, the remaining provisions remain enforceable.
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and supersedes any prior oral or written agreements regarding the App.
